Decided to take a Roadtrip (tm) through central Sweden, or at least as far as we could go within the course of five days. In northern Sweden, there's an average 1 person. Living per square kilometer. And when there are people living somewhere, it's picturesque. Fast as lightening, and then it was gone again. Wouldn't you want to live here?

Sweden for a year. Sunday, August 28, 2005. No, we didn't take a bike trip. Today a couple of other exchange students and me took advantage of the nice weather and got on a train to Uppsala. It took us about 40 minutes to reach the 4th largest city in Sweden (a little less than 200.000 inhabitants). Sweden for a year. Wednesday, May 10, 2006. The Swedes celebrate the arrival of spring. In a festival called Valborg (="Walpurgis"). It takes place at the end of April and people go outside to the parks to have a picnic and drink until they drop. The most famous Valborg celebrations are in Uppsala. So we took the train at 9:10 there. A lot. Of people there, almost all of them students. I think I have never seen so many Swedes outside. The day started with a raft race. There and drinks beer or wine.
