The Palmer Post: January 2013

Friday, January 25, 2013. I don't know why this is so hard for me to keep updated. my time has become a little more flexible, so maybe this is the year - one post a month, or more! We'll see, only time will tell. Ryan - he is on the major residency countdown! Also he fills his evenings with reading in preparation for his board exams in May. I'm okay with the change and it decreases my feeling of constantly rushing around trying to get the girls to the sitter then back to the office. I do miss my ENT ...

Sunday, August 26, 2012. So now we are down to two. jobs that is, for anyone reading! Last weekend we drove to Fishers, IN outside of Indy. We got to enjoy a little time with Ryan's family and ditched the girls to head south to Evansville. (The girls couldn't have been more thrilled, apparently they didn't even ask for us the morning we left! The Palmers have some great neighbors with kiddos a little older than Caroline. she's thinks they are fabulous! It really is a very exciting - albeit incredibly str...

Wednesday, April 23, 2014. So I've missed a few months. Wow I didn't realize I was slacking since October. Yikes! We will make it easy, bullet point. Thanksgiving in KC - tons of families to see, lunch/dinner with Harris clan. Caroline was heavy into Nutcracker rehearsal. New gym membership at Tri-State. Saw "Frozen" as a family at the movie theater. Alli Alli came to town to see our house and join us for the "Sugarplum Fairy Breakfast". Nutcracker performances all over - took most of the weekends. Carol...

Wednesday, May 6, 2015. Trying to keep up with this is apparently harder than I ever imagined. It's not for a lack of trying. Many afternoons I find myself working for E&P while Charlie is snoozing hard, and I should simply click on my blog screen and keep writing. Guess it doesn't happen that often! Between other tasks around the house, showering or waking the poor kid up so we can go get his sisters at school, I just haven't taken the time. As usual, here are the latest updates! Weighing In - Charlie.

Wednesday, August 28, 2013. Normal Life, Evansville Style. Life in Evansville, IN is fantastic. We've settled in, met all kinds of friends and jumped into this new routine with school! The girls enjoyed the final days of summer eating popsicles outside, swimming away and exploring the cMoe - Children's Museum of Evansville. We've been fortunate to have all kinds of visitors already! We were just so thrilled to have an evening with them, and the kids loved a good slumber party. Subscribe to: Posts (Atom).

Thursday, May 30, 2013. We've Seen the "Magic". It was princesses, princesses, princesses for 5 days in Orlando, FL. Ryan was at the national ENT conference taking his written boards, so we decided to tag along. He did a great job on his exam - we will get the results at the end of June. Best of all, we have time once again at night without him reading up on the latest in the ENT world! Subscribe to: Posts (Atom). Weighing In - Charlie. January 3 - 8.2 lbs. July 7 - 17.6 lbs. April 8 - 20 lbs. April 22, ...

Wednesday, July 17, 2013. Hard Goodbyes Heading to Hoosier-land! We spent the last few weeks in Erie, PA saying good bye to all kinds of good friends and co-workers. Ryan was celebrated on multiple occasions and couldn't have felt more love. He was well trained during his time in Erie, and it shows that he was respected by so many. It was incredible to experience the outpouring of love for our family as we left town. This is Ryan heading out his first day at his "real job" at Midwest ENT. He is makin...

Tuesday, February 26, 2013. I Think The Groundhog Was Wrong. Okay since my favorites in KC have experienced an Erie sort of snow week, I'm thinking that Groundhog did see his shadow. Will this winter thing ever end? The zoo opens up here on Friday, best late-afternoon time killer around. and more snow heading our way. Not the easiest way to navigate the zoo with snow on the ground, but I'm getting close to desperate so I might just bundle up the kids and go! Audrey - loves having all of the torn up carpe...
