James has always been one to re-enact important events in his life. Like the time he gave me a demo of the tantrum he had been throwing behind a closed door while in time out. Or the time he re-enacted (quite exaggerated) falling on the ice in Seattle. Well, this time he was so excited over a baseball game on TV, words just weren't enough. Hang out with my grandma for an afternoon (or see the video of her on the high dive here. And you may think she's ringing in her 40th birthday this week. Turns out, she's 84. And can still outrun me. James made her a card for the party today. Here is some footage of the masterpiece in the making. But just as he was finishing the card, James reveals in this video that we are actually all mistaken. It isn't Grandma Max's birthday after all. It is his bunny's birthday. Happy birthday, Bunny.

It's always hard the first time. With summer comes the 'firsts' of the year. The first bike ride, the first camping trip, the first trip to the pool. It always seems to take a disproportionate amount of effort to release winter's grip.
