Sunday, October 13, 2013. Fall Fun with Grandma and Grandpa. Eric and I were invited to a Halloween party over the weekend. We went as "sushi" and ended up having a fun date night. While we were on our date, my parents took the girls on their own special date to a corn maze. The girls had a blast! First they shucked corn. They had a little dinner,. Went on a hayride,. Sunday, September 01, 2013. This ball of fire started two year old preschool at the end of August! Amelia loves preschool, and she adores Ms. Lisa. Ms. Lisa is known as "MY Ms. Lisa" around here. Amelia has had to be put in her place at school for showing possession over "HER Ms. Lisa" during class. Amelia has grown up so much over the summer, and she is so ready to learn! My family held its annual McCarthy Summer Lake Weekend this past weekend, and as always, it was a blast. Friday, December 28, 2012. Christmas Eve and Christmas Day, 2012. I am sad. BUT, I'm here. My darling husband is here. My children are here. We are all healthy. Saturday, September 15, 2012. Eric and I took Madeline on a "big girl" weekend! We had such a great time visiting with my brother, his wife, and their son. Madeline always loves to get away with just us, and she loves to go see her Uncle Greg, Aunt Angela, and Drew. Wednesday, January 09, 2013. We headed to the Children's Hospital at 5:30 AM with Amelia, and we had a wonderful experience every step in the process. Obviously, it is geared for children, but it also handles the parents with a little extra TLC. Amelia was not a fan of these little scrubs nor was she a fan of the no breakfast rule. Sunday, February 03, 2013. Our dear friends, Brian and Jen, live out on a farm with horses. I've mentioned them a time or two! Here are a few of my favorites:. We had to have a picture with Jen's show horse, Rhinestone Cowboy! This one was hanging onto Eric and I for dear life when Brian and Jen's new puppy came around. But, she's not afraid of the 1000 lb. horses roaming and neighing around. This captures Amelia to a tee - FULL speed ahead at ALL TIMES! This captures my sweet Madeline to a tee.

Thursday, May 30, 2013. End of May Phone Dump. The end of May proved to be a busy few weeks for us. Madeline and Amelia enjoyed their last day of school before summer break! We had lots of playtime before the summer heat keeps us indoors.. We took the bed rails off of Madeline's bed in preparation for Amelia's move to a "big girl bed." Madeline has done really well with this change. She had a rough night one time when she fell out, but that was to be expected, I suppose.. Labels: Amelia 2-3 years old.

Monday, August 19, 2013. Madeline has started Kindergarten! Over the summer, Madeline was anxiously awaiting to start her big year - squeals of delight when we got a postcard from the principal and the arrival of her new backpack! We met her teacher, Mrs. Close over the summer as well. Mrs. Close is a seasoned teacher and has been working with her assistant, Mrs. Metro, for 10 years. Mrs. Metro is also a certified teacher. Two certified teachers with 25 kindergartners? First day of school with her Daddy.
