February 28, 2015. I've been finding some great pieces to makeover. I love giving old neglected items a new life. I found this mail organizer. It was painted green and looked like it had been abandoned and unloved for some time. But I brought it home spruced it up and gave it a new look. I found this cabinet at a garage sale. January 24, 2015. I've been reveling in the rare occurrence of winter weather here in SoCal. We even had a day of snow just ten minutes from the house. It's about 80 today and I'm actually enjoying the warmth! Of course in a couple of months I'll be my usual grumbly heat/sun hating self. I did capture a gorgeous sunrise last month. April 12, 2015. I did get some actual work done last week. I finished a new jewelry box with this great paper I found recently, funeral coaches and distressed lace. I also finished a Poe shadow box I've been working on. I found a new technique to make my clay candles look like the are bleeding but also keep that melted wax look. This week I'm working on a miniature cemetery for a tiny shadow box frame I found recently. Time to bust out the clay and start making teeny tiny gravestones. Day of the dead.

August 10, 2014. Looking forward to Halloween. We had a brief break in the weather allowing me to dream of all things Halloween and Fall. The thermometer is starting to rise again and I'm building fantasy rooms filled with all things Halloween (okay, okay, I say Halloween but we all know I would keep them year round.) March 29, 2015. When I first saw this jewelry box she had that faded beauty of an old carnival performer with her beautiful curved ornate legs and slightly shabby finish. So I was inspired by that to create a freakshow themed jewelry box. This one is dedicated to the Strange Girls everywhere. April 12, 2014. Playing with clay and miniatures. I made the cauldron, candy canes, cake, cookies, bowl, and books from #CreativePaperclay for this Christmas Witch diorama. I made this miniature graveyard and tree. This was for an Edgar Allan Poe shadow box, I made the parchment paper, inkwell, quill and book from #CreativePaperclay. And this is from a magic diorama. December 04, 2014. I've been getting in the holiday spirit working like a demon elf these past few weeks. I created a some new Holiday ornaments and other goodies. I love adding a bit of Gothic charm to my Christmas decor. Here's a few of this years creations. Nothing says Happy Holidays like the anti Santa, Krampus!
