What does a mother look like? April 14, 2014. I get so tired of hearing it, “You sure don’t look like you’ve got 4 kids.”. I get so tired of cheekily explaining it, “I only gave birth to 3.”. I get so tired of asking it, “What’s a mother supposed to look like anyway? Does a mother look like exhaustion or hope? Does a mother look like spiralling arms or calloused hands? Does a mother look like a blood covered beast or a delicate fairy-esque creature? But a hard place to fall. A mother looks like love.
