Sweet Expedition

Saturday, September 12, 2009. Well, it looks like things are coming to close. We heard a second Jumping Bush Cricket near the Carol Gardens, and I think that’s our last stop. Our group had dwindled down to five members a few posts ago and now it appears that the rest of the group is ready to call it a night (not before 3 of our mates bravely ate some cricket cookies though! I guess it is almost 11:00. How the time flies when you’re having fun! Is it just me? Or am I seeing multiples? Nudists on the prowl!

Sweet Expedition: Is it just me? Or am I seeing multiples?

http://www.sweetcricketexpedition.blogspot.com/2009/09/is-it-just-me-or-am-i-seeing-multiples.html

Saturday, September 12, 2009. Is it just me? Or am I seeing multiples? The Greater Anglewing Katydids definitely seem to be out in force tonight. That or they just like the Sweet Team. We heard one at the Summit Community Gardens, which sounded like it was in a tree, one near the Backyard Garden, and at least three from the Urban Meadow, which used to be a vacant lot (how cool is that! Subscribe to: Post Comments (Atom). Is it just me? Or am I seeing multiples? Nudists on the prowl! Picture of our Team.

Sweet Expedition: Get ready, get set…..Go!

http://www.sweetcricketexpedition.blogspot.com/2009/09/get-ready-get-setgo.html

Saturday, September 12, 2009. Get ready, get set….Go! The Sweet Expedition is getting ready to start the search. The nighttime serenades are all beginning to fill the night…. What musical hoppers will the Sweet Team discover in the dense jungles of the tree canopies and rooftops above the streets of Brooklyn Heights? Will the team be happily rewarded with many different species’ calls for taking on scaling the breathtakingly dangerous climb of five stories? Stay close by and find out yourself!

Sweet Expedition: Beware! Nudists on the prowl!

http://www.sweetcricketexpedition.blogspot.com/2009/09/beware-nudists-on-prowl.html

Saturday, September 12, 2009. Nudists on the prowl! Don’t believe what you think you hear! Crickets are more devious than you may think…. Our poor hapless team in Brooklyn Heights was working on moving to their next site, when they hear a cricket call. Of course they move closer to investigate, as any good scientist would, and start peering under the bushes looking for the critter. When, low and behold, instead of finding the cricket they were looking for, they find a naked man! Is it just me?
