I believe the tomato comes from a Polish recipe while the broth is more traditionally (southern? I made him this summer to put over the rolls as he enjoys the combination. Cover the pan to co...

Marché des Capucins, Bordeaux. July 18, 2015. So, this is the second of my three posts about places to eat in and around Bordeaux. In the first post. Stuffed grape leaves for dinner. August 19, 2016. August 18, 2016. I make all the time. Cut the stem from the leaf before placing your filling at that spot. Torn leaf, it ended up lining the pot. To fold a grape leaf: with the back of the leaf up, fold the bottom lobes up, the sides in and then roll up to the tip of the top lobe. Place the dolma rolls in layers in the oiled pot, seam side down. Sheep yogurt, fresh grated cucumber and juice of half a lemon make a delicious tzatziki! 1/2 pound ground lamb.

Let's chat about wine and brew…. Fromaggio – Cheese in any language. Wine and cheese are a classic pairing. But there can be quirky twists to classics; something to define them in time and space as something ‘more’. As you know, I have a passion for wine – I love cheese almost as much! So, Friday night’s visit by Timi Starkweather of Fromaggio in Manson, WA at Brix and Stone with exquisite cheeses was a real treat. Naturally, good company is a large part of any memorable event. We had the pleasure of...
