Aprendiz de todo, maestro de nada. Yesterday I made my first ever visit to End of an Ear to hear Seela and 3/4 of Torch. Do a record release show for their latest, Charmed. With this CD consisting largely of originals, Seela seems to be bringing the two halves together. To me the songwriting sounds a lot like her solo work on Hard Times Hit. I'll always have a personal attachment to Torch's earlier work but I have to cheer as they find their own voice. I can't believe I'd never made it to End of an Ear.

A solo artist although the sultry vocals of Seela Misra will probably be the focus of attention. Of course, with a voice like this – calming, romantic, sometimes flirty – how can she not be?
