Thursday, July 30, 2015. Our first stop was Houston to visit the Holmes family. We became friends with the Holmes before we had kids in the Young Marrieds group at Westover. Since becoming friends, they have moved to Arlington, and now have settled in the Houston area. Despite the distance, we try to see them once a year, and now we each have two boys, plus they are expecting a 3rd! It's fun to visit and watch our families grow together. Luke definitely loved playing with new toys. Here's Jake with Zane.

Thursday, July 30, 2015. We recently discovered an indoor play place called Mt. Playmore. The kids LOVE it. When Papa and Granmama were in town, they treated us to a day at Mt. Playmore, and the boys had a blast! The main attraction is a huge climbing area you can see in the background of these pics. Tuesday, April 28, 2015. The t-ball league Jake plays in held a mid-season tournament a few weekends ago. The Red Sox played 2 games on Saturday, and won 2 games. On Sunday's games, winners continued, and the other team was out. The Red Sox kept their winning streak alive, and played 3 games to ultimately win the championship game! Tuesday, January 13, 2015. It's super crazy, but also super fun! We started his birthday off with the traditional special birthday breakfast. This year it was pumpkin pancakes in the shape of a 6. Jake chose to go to Mighty Fine for lunch and Double Dave's for dinner, then we topped off the day with an ice cream cake! And cuddle with him. Tuesday, October 21, 2014. Luke turned 18 months last week! Here are some things about younger son at 18 months. He loves to eat! He's picky with some vegetables and he doesn't seem to like hamburger or anything with ground beef, but otherwise eats a lot. Sunday, August 23, 2015. Shreveport was our next stop to visit one of my best friends in college, Carrie. Carrie was a great hostess to us and we had a wonderful time. She took us to Sci-Port Discovery Center where the boys had lots of fun learning new and different things. Carrie is a high school English teacher, and she's very gifted at her job, so making learning fun for kids comes naturally to her. Sunday, February 15, 2015. Jake asked for a "bear, duck, basketball" party at our house and we aimed to deliver. I tried for all the food to fit in with the theme, so there were chocolate bear paw cupcakes, "duck bill" chips and dip, teddy grahams, gummy bears, cheezy "basketballs," and fruit with duck toothpicks. Kevin led our games, and the kids split into two teams, the Bears. We also made a bear craft. Here are the kids hard at work putting the "fur" on their bears. Blowing out his candles.

Tuesday, August 4, 2015. Stop 2: Gulf Shores. We made it to Gulf Shores right at dinner time, so our first stop was a restaurant on the beach! It was pretty packed, so we took the opportunity to have some beach play time. Here we are headed to the beach. First family of 4 vacation pic! Jake immediately commented on the beautiful white sand.
