Sweet tea green tea. A southerner moves to china. A Love Without End, Amen →. Stay With You, I Very Happy. March 8, 2011. One thing I think American readers will find interesting about my college (and, in fact, most Chinese colleges) is that students are put into classes of about 50. With these 50 classmates, Chinese students will not only have all. Everyone, good evening! Let the 2011 New Year’s Party begin! Both bow deeply, applause]. In a country of such stereotypically shy people, is. It was absolute...

It’s been a crazy month but the semester has ended and it’s vacation time! 8211; One of the ways students could get extra points was by asking me questions in their interviews. With that in mind, one sweet little girl, after finishing what she was saying, composed herself and addressed me thus: Dear Madammay I ask you a question? 8211; Many of the stu...

Sweet tea green tea. A southerner moves to china. Monthly Archives: May 2011. Just Be Yourself, Chiner. May 10, 2011. Our Life Unbound: 11.11

http://dryesterday.blogspot.com/2011_11_01_archive.html

Since the end of the sweltering Chongqing summer, time has flown by with unimaginable speed. I feel as though I missed the entire month of October, but was somehow able to slow down enough to have a Halloween party. Its like I woke up one day in China and actually had a normal life. My dad earned himself bonus points by waking up early each morning and walking himself around the city (even all the way to Jie Fang Bei) with no Chinese and no map. Who feel as much a part of my family as my real family does.

Best Waiban Trip Ever! And she said "Yeah, I think so." So I laid there, thinking they were going to come back with a back roller. Instead she came back with a little bowl with some sort of stick shaped object in it. Our liaison said, "Oh, by the way, you can't take a shower for six hours after you have this done." What were they going to do? It wasn't until I got home that I looked at my back and figured out what they did to me! Subscribe to: Posts (Atom). With the drawing of this love.

Our Life Unbound: January Adventures

http://dryesterday.blogspot.com/2012/02/january-adventures.html

For our last luxuriously long winter break of our Peace Corps service (and maybe our lives) we wanted to make it memorable. Fortunately, traveling on a tight budget ensures non-stop adventures. Here is an episodic account of our experiences in the last month or so. Adventure #1: Harbin Deep Freeze New Year. Adventure #2: Pollution Induced Chest Cold from Hell. After Katie D. and Leo left, we knew we had to recover to make our trip to Indonesia possible, so we spent the last few days barely leaving th...

Summer Project: Small Victories. As the days passed, we modified our lessons with each rotation, and it seemed that many of the trainees were starting to understand what we were trying to accomplish. By the final day, we met as a whole group to discuss and brainstorm what had been learned during our two weeks in Wulong. This is some of what they shared:. How to encourage student confidence. Teaching for multiple intelligences. How to take student abilities in to account (differentiated instruction).

Katie D in China. The information and opinions contained in this blog in no way reflect the views of the Peace Corps. There was an error in this gadget. Saturday, April 23, 2011. This week I have been teaching my lower-level students about inviting—how to make an invitation and to accept and refuse the invitation. I started class by asking the question, ‘If you could invite any 4 people (dead, alive, famous, not famous or even not real) who would you invite and why? What are you doing? 8217; One student ...

Katie D in China. The information and opinions contained in this blog in no way reflect the views of the Peace Corps. There was an error in this gadget. Saturday, April 14, 2012. Winter Vacation Year 2. Naturally, when everyone was done visiting, Leo and I were pretty tired. We spent the week we had between visitors and our Peace Corps training just relaxing. The training finished up our winter vacation. It was a busy (and cold) winter as compared with last year, but meaningful. Sweet tea green tea.

Teague

Thursday, July 23, 2015. So Teague and I talked about that experience. We talked about how the Holy Ghost can guide and comfort us. I told him, "That doctor saved your life." Teague was quiet a moment and then said, "I should thank him.". So there was no leaving the hospital without stopping at the neurosurgery clinic to see if Dr. Kestle was in. Like always, every appointment we went to, at every office, someone commented on what a good patient Teague is. He has a calmness about him that can change ...
