SWIMMING WITH THE TIDE. Saturday, 24 March 2012. Feast for a King. The arrival of Darren, Nina and the kids last Monday meant the end of our jobs as Resort Managers. It’s been an interesting experience. There’s the daily hosting of guests – something which we’ve found really enjoyable. It’s a great feeling when guests leave as friends , buzzing about their holiday and promising to return. Recently a family from Wellington stayed. I think they’ll be back for the whales. SWIMMING WITH THE TIDE. Monday, 27 February 2012. The day has come. Darren, Nina and the kids left for their campervan holiday around New Zealand. We’re now responsible for the resort. Luckily, we’ve been well trained, and I think we’re ready for anything. I’m looking forward to it. We have projects to get underway – the painting of the kid’s room, bathroom and office. There’s the bookings that come in every day. There’re guests to cook for and take snorkelling. I log onto the computer and open the emails.
