There are 12 Unitary, 4 County and 25 District council across the South West. 2015 was a major local authority election year, with elections in 33 of the 41 Councils. Cornwall Unitary, Wiltshire Unitary, Isles of Scilly Unitary, Cheltenham District and the County Councils did not have elections this year. All other district and unitary councils had elections together with town and parish councils in their areas. No party stood for every seat or even every ward, Con stood in most (almost every ward).
