September 1, 2015. September 1, 2015. Here is a little project update. The pink is a ribbon weaving thing I just learned. A woman was in at work and I was showing her the “fiber corral” and she showed me how to weave ribbon. It is more of a cross between braiding and crocheting. 8216;Till The Cows Come Home. November 14, 2015. November 14, 2015. I think I have solved my technical difficulties. It is about time. The sheep came home with great fanfare three weeks ago. Except for the phantom herd. Our final search involved ten people, five horses, and a four wheeler searching from Clark’s pond to Blowhard. No idea where they were hiding, and now they are snowed in. Friday morning leaving the bedground. Down the hill to town. Sheep move fast. Sheep don’t do red lights.

October 1, 2015. Ewes and lambs go down the cutting chute. Saturday we sold the lambs. After six months of lambing, moving, fencing, and herding payday came. Selling lambs is one of my favorite days. Everyone is excited and joking around as we get ready. The lamb buyer arranges for trucks to take the lambs to California to finish growing. We meet them at a truck stop where they are weighed, then everyone treks up to the mountain. A truck arrives to pick up the load. Sunrise at the corral.
