Professor Wexler has asked us: "Does college itself contribute to the spectacle? He has also asked us what we, as college students, believe contributes to conspicuous consumption in college.

Friday, February 24, 2006. Response to hypertext essays. 1) Who controls the hypertext, reader or writer-designer? I believe both equally control this. The writer-designer is able to choose which hypertexts are placed where on each screen, promoting a specific order, but if more then one hypertext is available on a specific screen, often times leading to many others- then the reader is in fact in control because they can select the order of which they choose seperate hypertexts. If so, do they persuade?

It is so hard for girls to buy gifts for guys for this occassion. A guy can get away with buying a girl flowers, candy, or jewelry (or any combination of the three! For his love interest.
