3rd of Feb – Fishing Trip. What a week it has been, the weather has been up and down, rain hale and shine! Commuting to work has been a pain also! They say no pain no gain right? This morning was another successful fishing trip, we landed a few decent Bream for dinner, even though I don’t eat fish! But I share it with everyone! Did have a scary moment when I landed a large Bream, my father netted it up, held the line to lift the fish out, and my line gave way at an unusual position! Only time will tell!

Australia Day – 26th of March 2013. The sun came out to play on Australia Day, couldn’t have asked for a better day! First stop was to drive to the Sydney Markets to pick up the regular fruit and veg for the week. Trolley some what loaded, but these aren’t the regular supermarket trolley, slightly bigger! Next stop after dropping all the produce offer, was the Vic’s Meat Market Day to purchase all the required meat for the BBQ in the evening. One cooler full of meat! Something is cooking under here!

5th of Feburary Dinner – Kagaya. Caught up with a mate last night for dinner. Been a while since we had a meal together! We wanted to take him out to our local Japanese restaurant called Manmaruya, but we didn’t know they close on a Tuesday! We normally go on the weekends! But we had a back up plan! We went to Kagaya ( http:/ www.kagaya.com.au/. You get your typical Japanese food here, I’m not much of a Sashimi guy, but that’s the whole experience of Japanese food right! But I still stay away from it!

2nd of Feb – Wagyu Steak! Had some more Wagyu Steak for dinner after the last BBQ experience. All I can say cooking Wagyu on a coal BBQ is a lot better than on the pan on the stove! This time I got some grade 7 marble Wagyu, higher in the scale meaning more marble aka more fat, highest rating is 12. This time I believe it was a tad to fat for my liking, maybe it could have been due to the fact that I was cooking it on the stove and the fats couldn’t escape from the pan unlike the coal BBQ! Fishing trips over the last 2 Fortnights! With the warmer weather finally coming into town, and the recent rainfall. Fishing has started to pick up. Over the last two weekends, we have caught ourselves a decent feed, to feed 6 families. 13th of Jan – This provided Fillets. 20th Jan – Provided us fish soup, salted fish and steam fish! With a kayak, it’s easier for one person to set off on a trip, but there is a safety concern, where I can’t just anchor anywhere! I’m up for the challenge! I can do both!
