http://phippsstudio.blogspot.com/2010_10_01_archive.html
Wednesday, October 27, 2010. A friend of mine (yes this post is for you Eddie! Aw- it's fantastic. I picked a dark color for my kitchen (a sydney harbor color) but it doesn't scrape this level of wow. Design credit goes to Miles Redd and Gil Schaefer. Links to this post. Sunday, October 24, 2010. I love things like these. Why? I think words like, crisp, clean, warm, simple yet bold, come to mind. I love that rug- I gather from Joel Fitzpatricks website that it is old from Northern Iran? phipps studio + design: November 2010
http://phippsstudio.blogspot.com/2010_11_01_archive.html
Thursday, November 18, 2010. I know this is kinda a boring posting, but I painted my second bedroom/office. I got all the right CORDS, geez, and now all my printers, and lights, and things work without having to crawl under the desk to swap things out- such a joy not to have to do that now! Plus, I should have taken a before pic because this room was butchered by the last owner when they left- so it is ALSO a joy not to stare at huge holes in the walls! Links to this post. EcoVertex: March 2007
http://ecovertex.blogspot.com/2007_03_01_archive.html
A home remodel that embraces green design and construction practices. And a diary of a green journey. Sunday, March 25, 2007. How Green Can You Go? This week was full of starts and a few stops. By that I mean, we were all ready to move into final stages of putting in the finishes when we made some interesting discoveries. I’ll try to highlight a few of them here. EcoTimber ( www.ecotimber.com. Especially for “green products.”. The adhesive was the worst “green packaging” offender that I’...Early on,...

phipps studio + design: a food photographer I am not
http://phippsstudio.blogspot.com/2010/11/food-photographer-i-am-not.html
Monday, November 8, 2010. A food photographer I am not. Nor am I an expert chef. But, I do try to eat healthily regularly. I made this very yummy fall salad for lunch today. Super easy to make:. Come on- where's the wine blog to help us non-afficionados- there can't be that much sight seeing to be done in Estonia with winter approaching! Greetings from Estonia, Kel, where there are plenty of indoor sports to distract from the dark and cold, thank you very much! November 8, 2010 at 10:33 PM.

phipps studio + design: September 2009
http://phippsstudio.blogspot.com/2009_09_01_archive.html
Monday, September 28, 2009. Oh my gosh, did anyone drool a little at this house designed by Michael Smith in this month's Elle Decor like I did? This first room, which I believe is the living room, is so beautiful. Love the layering of new and old and the layering of textures and colors. The pic above is of the dining room- um, hello look at that walnut ceiling - amazing. Links to this post. Sunday, September 27, 2009. OK I am sold. These work! Links to this post. phipps studio + design: April 2010
http://phippsstudio.blogspot.com/2010_04_01_archive.html
Saturday, April 17, 2010. 3 million Italians can't be wrong! I love the varigated nuances of natural materials. I chose the slab on the left, and we'll cut the top, whiter half, of the stone for the kitchen. Beautiful! Can't believe I actually get to live with this stone in my house. They actually pluck the slabs with this mini-crane and let you pick which one you like. Links to this post. Sunday, April 4, 2010. Ready, start, Renovate! Where I started, the battered and abused fireplace. The wall where th...

phipps studio + design: February 2009
http://phippsstudio.blogspot.com/2009_02_01_archive.html
Wednesday, February 11, 2009. I am still mourning the loss of Domino. I went through my old issues (I have every one from the first issue they put out) because I remember this great spread they used to run a long time ago called renovator's notebook, and specifically I remember the one with this classicist architect. Funny I have such an inclination to classicism when I grew up in a modernist house with a modernist architect for a dad! I looked up his website and goodness gracious- beautiful photos-.

phipps studio + design: I LOVE this
http://phippsstudio.blogspot.com/2010/10/i-love-this.html
Sunday, October 24, 2010. I love things like these. Why? I think words like, crisp, clean, warm, simple yet bold, come to mind. I love that rug- I gather from Joel Fitzpatricks website that it is old from Northern Iran? Or maybe.it reminds me of something.hmmm? Another good one, from Laura Kiran for Tufenkian. And, I so love the throw- I wish they'd weave that same pattern as a runner rug- it would be perfect for my newly painted hallway! Subscribe to: Post Comments (Atom). San Diego, CA, United States.
