Fringe Bar – Paddington. Friday pub lunch is the best way to celebrate the end of the week, with a sneaky lunchtime bevvy of course. Concordia Club – Tempe. I have not been so excited by a German restaurant menu in a long time. The kitchen is a small room of to the side of the building, a room filled with food in trays ready to be served and a few ladies plating up meals. The crackling on the pork knuckle was very alluring with is shiny and bubbly top, but schnitzel was the mission of the day and we collected one chicken schnitzel and one veal schnitzel to test out. I can't wait to go back to the Concordia Club again.

Tommy's Beer Cafe – Glebe. With food memories such as these, what better place for a family dinner that Tommy's Beer Cafe, a small German style restaurant with plenty of imported beers and wines, perfect! Entrees arrived quickly, an entire wheel of Camembert cheese with pickled onions and a two large bowls of pork crackling! If a restaurant wanted to get into my good books, serving pork crackling by the bowl was going the right way about it. Shortly after our meals arrived looking golden and tasty.

Essen – Ultimo. We caught the train into Central and wandered down Broadway to build up our appetites, when we arrived we were shocked to find nobody else inside, the room was empty, but loud German pop music filled our ears as we were shown to our table. The menu contained everything our bellies desired, schnitzels galore! We ordered two chicken schnitzels, one with pepper gravy and the other with spicy capsicum sauce, both came with potato rosti and cabbage salad. oh yeah we were off to a good start.
