Zachary Burns Blog: Fun with X-Plane
http://blog.burnssoftware.com/2015/04/fun-with-x-plane.html
Monday, April 06, 2015. Being a Private Pilot can be pretty expensive. So I like to brush up on "procedures" by using a flight simulator. I've got rudders, a yoke, and prop controls, etc. So it's almost like being there - except for the G forces. Looks like this trip I would have taken a beating! Anyway, Microsoft Flight Simulator used to be the go-to system but a while back I switched to X-Plane. It's got a lot of professional features. Hey Austin, fix this! Zachary Burns Blog: I got quoted....yikes!
http://blog.burnssoftware.com/2015/04/i-got-quotedyikes.html
Wednesday, April 08, 2015. I got quoted.yikes! I got quoted on the Delphi RAD Studio and AppMethod developer tools site. I love Microsoft's Visual Studio tools for development. I was doing some mobile development during Xamarin's early days of their mobile Androind and IOS tools cycle. It was bad. Even when Xamarin launched the re-branded tools, not much changed and it still was a pain in the butt to develop with those tools. Subscribe to: Post Comments (Atom). Zachary Burns Blog: June 2014

Monday, June 09, 2014. Mike Hadlow had an excellent article….amen brother! TL:DR You can not observe a developer without altering their behavior. Then a strange thing started to happen. Everything slowed. The project was not a happy one. Features took longer and longer to be delivered. There always seemed to be a mounting number of bugs, few of which seemed to get fixed, even as the team grew. The business spent more and more money for fewer and fewer benefits. Why did it all go so wrong?

Tuesday, November 05, 2013. Microsoft .NET Framework Issue. I came across a frustrating issue, the other day. I needed to upgrade a .NET Framework 2.0 project to .NET 4.0 due to some component features. That went fine, everything compiled, but found out there was some issues, so in order to prevent issues in production, I had to revert back to .NET Framework 2.0. After publishing the assemblies to the shared network drive, I was getting the following error. Http:/ go.microsoft.com/fwlink/? Well after doi...

Americans - you've had health care! You didn't need this Obamacare crap. Show up at a hospital - they'll fix you up - no questions asked. Need a doctor, no problem, show up to a doctors office. They'll be happy to bill you. Links to this post. Government Shutdown - A Scam! This whole federal government shutdown is such a scam. You can tak...

Wednesday, October 01, 2014. Installed Windows 10 (and looks pretty much like Windows 8.1) except the fact that it adds virtual desktop capabilities – which Unix/Linux have had for years – and it’s a welcome addition. It also print back (well sort of), the Start Menu. Which should help people transitioning from Windows 7 to Windows 10. Links to this post. Subscribe to: Posts (Atom). Friday, September 20, 2013. Apple - Admit You Screwed Up With IOS7. I'm a long time supporter of Apple, but you really "screwed the pooch" with IOS7. I'm not mad about the user interface, it needed to be done, and took a little while to get used to, but my compliant is the battery. I've done factory resets of the software, etc - nothing helped. I know you've got some upset customers over the battery and cable issue - you probably should address that quickly! Links to this post. Tuesday, September 17, 2013.

Zachary Burns Blog: DevExpress Bug
http://blog.burnssoftware.com/2015/01/devexpress-bug.html
Tuesday, January 27, 2015. I've been using the Developer Express. Universal tools for years (8 ) ever since I saw Mark Miller do a CodeRush demo live in Southeast Michigan. In all that time, I've never had an issue with their tools, but found a bug I couldn't really figure out today. Of course, I joke about the swag, but they've actually done it before. Sometimes it's great same-day customer service and the little things that a company does to keep their customers. Subscribe to: Post Comments (Atom).
