Day 5 , Tuesday , 29 Sept 2009. Hi all, this will be my very last post for this trip. (:. Questions posted to us before the trip:. 1 What do you intend to get out of this trip? 2 What is your general impression of Sydney australia in terms of a tourist destination. How do you think it compares to Singapore? 3 What is your impression of the Australian? How similar or different are they from you? I’m wrong about Australians being extremely friendly, some of them are really polite and nice but some ar...

Sydney Day 5, 29th September 2009. Right now, my general impression of Sydney australia in terms of a tourist destination is the lifestyle here. the people living here are all multicultural and they all have a lot of clubs and pubs like singapore. the nightlife here is very happening. Sydney is widely making use of their iconic attractions like the Sydney Opera House and the three sisters lookout at the blue mountains like how singapore is promoting her esplanade. And do i need any help? The transportati...

Day five, Tuesday, 29th September 09. I think my perception towards Sydney hasn’t really changed that much. Transportation in Australia and Singapore is the same. Both are good and easy to understand. However the fares are quite expensive compared to Singapore. Monorails are more than four dollars. However they have interesting transportation like the ferries even though it may cost expensive. But with the comfort they are giving I feel that it is quite alright. Day Two, Saturday, 26th September 09.

Day Five, Tuesday, 29th September 09. Like what I have mentioned in my 1. Entry, I wanted to learn about the difference between Singapore and Sydney’s tourism operating sectors. For example, in their service sector when dining in a 4 star Chinese restaurant, the service crew couldn’t care less about serving us. Also, I learnt that and understanding in what ways Singapore can learn from Sydney in a fun, exciting and memorable way! Indeed, my impression of Sydney did not change! Day Two, Saturday, 26.

Day One, Friday 24th September 09. When I first entered Sydney , I was expecting a good time here visiting the attractions together as a group . And they are very strict with their regulations as they have like local officers doing a check on the airplane even before we were allowed to check out of the terminal . Hello to my first entry on this site ,. 1 For the educational element. 2 As for the fun element. Would actually interest me the most, as they have a range of activities that we are able to do th...

Day Five, Tuesday, 29. When I visit the Blue Mountain International Hospitality School, the students were so friendly and have the hospitality attitude. As for me, I guess that I have similar attitude as them. To compare it with students from DIEM, DHHM and DCSRM, they do not portray that attitude every day. I guess students should try to make an effort to carry out that image. Without their commitment and effort, this trip were not be succesful. Even though people don’t like us, bitching about...Of cour...

During the trip, I got out a lot more experience than I initially expected. These range from small details like how to do head counts to more in-depth details about tourism in Australia. I gained knowledge on Australia as a whole, about how the tourism NSW intends to attract tourists and how to retain them. During the session with the NSW director, I learnt about what measures are done to sustain tourism. During the trip, I did not experience racism towards Asians or people of other religion/ race by the...
