Ármann and Ulla-May Rögnvaldsson bought the farm in 1970.Ármann is from Dæli in Skíðadalur and Ulla-May from Uppsala in Sweden, she moved to Iceland in 1957. They have run the sheep farm since 1971 and been members of Icelandic Farm Holiday association since 1982. 70.000 trees has been planted on the farm since 1982. If you will be tired of lying on the sofa and enjoy the beautiful view, there is a lot of things you can do in the neighbourhood. Hiking; tree planting area, Katla mountain, Hrossatjörn , Þorvaldsdalur Watch the animals at the farm. At Dalvík (15 km) you can find : District museum. In Siglufjörður (49 km) you can find :a Herring museum and The folk music centre . A Hiking week is yearly in the neighborhood and the big Fish festival in the second weekend in August.
