Sylvester's is located in a residential area of Avalon, right on the corner of 21st street and 5th avenue. It appears to be an oversize bungalow, but behind a four foot fence that runs along the side and back of the property, beneath a green canopy, you will find seeting ample enough for 175 people. A brief history of Sylvester's. Tom Shute built the original fish market in 1944 using wood scavenged from a flood. Brothers Fred and Steve Sylvester. Added a restaurant onto the fish market in 1978.

Well the weather has been amazing this weekend and work is letting up a little bit, so i'm starting to get my head cleared a little bit and will try and catch up on some posts (for those of you without facebook!
