Bonsai exhibitions - photo coverages by András István Nagy. Sunday, June 10, 2007. Visiting Karl Thier in Austria - part 2. A potentilla with an amazing trunk, which was about as thick as a human arm. Karl told me that this comes originally from the garden of the castle of Belvedere where he has been working for some time and has swapped it for an other tree. A beautiful wild pear literati with an interesting, twisted trunk. A nice small black pine (Pinus nigra). A row of top quality pines.

Bonsai exhibitions - photo coverages by András István Nagy. Friday, April 27, 2007. Spring Flower Festival - Exhibition of the University Bonsai Club. The usual spring flower festival took place last weekend at the University of Horticulture in Budapest. Traditionally all bonsai clubs in Budapest make a small exhibit at this event. As a member of the University Bonsai Club (Egyetemi Bonsai Club), I took part on this exhibit and am sharing some photos I've made during the show. Friday, April 20, 2007.

András István Nagy's Bonsai. Friday, April 18, 2008. European hornbeam and hawthorn - two of the trees I'm exhibiting. Currently I'm exibiting four trees in our spring show - the small coreana from the last post, the big maple (Acer ginnala) and these two trees. The small european hornbeam has now fully leafed out. Here are two from my collection: the five-trunk hawthorn and my maple. The hawthorn is really difficult to photograph because of its spatialness, I have not yet succeeded in producing a good photo of it, but the leaf colors are great anyway.). Posted by András Nagy. András István Nagy's Bonsai. Monday, May 4, 2009. Between 22. and 24. April our Club took part in the Spring Flower Exhibition at the University of Horticulture. Our exhibition was a little bit smaller than usual. I have presented these three trees (I will post pictures of some of the other trees in my exhibition blog). I have found this tree in 2006 in a flower shop just around our corner - interesting how it got there. Of course I have bought it! The tree in 2006, marked with red where I haved planned to pruned - eventually I have left the left-side thick dead branch.
