I wanted to be a film star! Instead I became a teacher and for the last fourteen years of my long career was head of English and Drama at the Purcell School and used my acting skills in the classroom! I took early retirement in order to have time to concentrate on my writing but I am still in touch with many of my pupils. I write, I keep chickens on my allotment , I play bridge badly and I have wonderful family and friends who have supported and put up with me all these years!

Have you read my latest book. Below are some of the reviews. A story about love and loss told in a very heartfelt way. It also brings alive the backbiting and rivalry that goes on in staff rooms. A good read and I couldnt put it down. This is a story of two women coping after unexpectedly losing their men. However, for me the most intriguing thread went through the staff room. Can children really be taught life skills be such an awful bunch of spineless, weak, manipulated and frightened people?

My friend, Ruth took this photo in her spare bedroom-cum-study. Id popped in for a sherry one evening and she suddenly said, Your hair looks nice. It really suits you like that. And I said, ‘Well! Take a photo, quick. I need one for my latest book, Lights on Dark Water. And so she did. And now its on the back of my books as well as this website. Shell have a good laugh. Camp Collins
We are a home school family with four children. I'm a stay-at-home mom and my husband is a fire fighter. Music, drama, and sports fill our days. We love the Lord and enjoy camping and traveling around the country. Sunday, January 31, 2010. The Collins family headed up to Sierra Summit (just outside Fresno California) one Sunday afternoon in January, spent the night at the lodge and then had a day on the slopes. We'll see if he's brave enough to try it again next snow season. Sarah had her best year yet!
