Day 2
http://urbex.aydun.net/day-2
Brisbane's unseen nooks and crannies. UEGA] Urban Exploration Group Australia. I met up with MPI. And Lecht at the entrance to Burford's. The night was busy and it was inevitable that a small crowd had gathered to watch us enter. Most of them seemed more curious than anything. We waded through the deep water and entered the darkness of the drain. We took an alternate route down a side tunnel, hoping it would lead out elsewhere on the river, unfortunately it proved to be a dead-end. By Aidan O'Brien.

Day 1
http://urbex.aydun.net/day-1
Brisbane's unseen nooks and crannies. UEGA] Urban Exploration Group Australia. I spent two afternoons exploring drains a few weeks ago because there happened to be a public holiday. I visited the first drain, Possum's Eel Cave, with Crazytrain. We walked long and far, probably 10 kilometres. The further we went, the cleaner the water became. There was no turning back now. At the point

Brisbane's unseen nooks and crannies. UEGA] Urban Exploration Group Australia. I visited a local drain that I'd noticed a while ago but not visited due to my low expectations of it. I parked above an entry, climbed through a hole in the fence someone had prepared earlier and scampered down the rocks to be faced by rather large parallel tunnels. Navigating through thick mud, I walked down the left tunnel. It soon came to a large chamber, intended as a catchment for the above car park. By Aidan O'Brien.

Aquacave revisited

Brisbane's unseen nooks and crannies. UEGA] Urban Exploration Group Australia. After forgetting my SD card on my last visit, I returned to Aquacave with No Pro. And dropbear. This was the same day I visited the location from my last post, so it was nice to visit some-place familiar to end the night! Fortunately it was low tide so we managed to traipse a fair way downstream. And silly lighting shots ensued. Further upstream we found the answer to the influx of clean water, presumably a leaking water mains!

Exploring suburbia

Brisbane's unseen nooks and crannies. UEGA] Urban Exploration Group Australia. I had a look at another local drain the other night that I'd suspected would be pretty large. As it turns out, my suspicions were correct. It was a nice long walk with no crouching whatsoever. The drain began as three box culverts which fed into two larger ones. There were even some ancient writings from the original people. By Aidan O'Brien. Comments powered by Disqus. 677 Tan Son Street, Ho Chi Minh, VN. 84) 909 53 6892.

Brisbane's unseen nooks and crannies. UEGA] Urban Exploration Group Australia. I visited Waa with Crazytrain sometime in August last year. We were fortunate enough to face a relatively dry entrance, so we made our way into the outfall. I didn't get too many photos in the drain, but here are a few from the day. I ended up taking most . Sydney's back-breaker

Brisbane's unseen nooks and crannies. UEGA] Urban Exploration Group Australia. Feeling as though I hadn't visited as much of underground Sydney as I should have by now, I made the journey to a new drain tonight. Apparently, this is known by some as 'Deep-Throat', and I can see why. Although it begins as rectangular concrete, it quickly transitions to a strange esophageal shape. Although there's no reference for height in the photos, I could only just stand up in the rectangular section. 84) 909 53 6892.

Hercs (Sydney)

Brisbane's unseen nooks and crannies. UEGA] Urban Exploration Group Australia. A post after long last! And a Sydney drain at that, seeing as I no longer reside in Brisbane. Known by some as Hercules' Pillars, the following photos of this drain from two seperate trips. The outfall was very muddy. It's intent seems to slow and dam the storm water before letting it gradually reach the river (above) through a small RCP. That's it for now. Next time I'll be travelling to the end (start? Of this amazing drain!

The fan room

Brisbane's unseen nooks and crannies. UEGA] Urban Exploration Group Australia. After the occasional wander and exploration of suspect places, I finally managed to find this bad boy. It was very remarkable to see, especially with the wind whipping up dust and debris. By Aidan O'Brien. Comments powered by Disqus. 677 Tan Son Street, Ho Chi Minh, VN. 84) 909 53 6892.
