Jonathan Block: RIP Richard Wright
http://jonathanblock.blogspot.com/2008/09/rip-richard-wright.html
Tuesday, September 16, 2008. Rick Wright, keyboards and founding member of Pink Floyd, died yesterday. His playing, singing and composing skills were a huge part of the Floyd sound, particularly from my favorite era 1968-1972. Just listen to his solo album from 1979, Wet Dream, which sounds more like Pink Floyd than any of Dave or Roger's. I'm glad he got his due again touring with Dave and that there's so much coverage of his passing. Subscribe to: Post Comments (Atom). View my complete profile.

Monday, May 26, 2008. Birds on the cut lawn. Are you listening to me. Or the worms hiding. We’ve become our folks. Wide middles sagging bottoms. Leaves still fall from trees. The Hydrogen Cafe: March 2009
http://hydrogencafe.blogspot.com/2009_03_01_archive.html
Mixtapes for nonlinear minds. Sunday, March 08, 2009. Here is the second of 12 mixes from THC Series [20][12] for the 15 Minutes of Fame Mix Series. Is another departure from the usual quiet ambient mixes on the Hydrogen Cafe. I wanted to do something that was much more polyrhythmic and incorporated cuts from some Berlin-school electronic artists like Tangerine Dream. Along with the Twilight Sad. An AMAZING indie-rock band! An amazing cut done way back in 1966 by Raymond Scott. A snippet of Vir Unis.
