Tuesday, 31 August 2010. Emma and Boz Do Thailand. We are going to hand this blog entry over to Emma and Boz, who are some of our best friends from back home, we were very lucky and happy to have them come and see us for 2 weeks in Thailand, expect lots of drunken escapades (most of which wont make entry onto this blog). After 10 months of not seeing my bezzie mate Sarah we finally arrived in Bangkok airport complete with our extremely heavy back packs to be met by Miss Hope and Mr Davies. However, the w...

Tuesday, 27 October 2009. When we were planning our trip away, one of the questions we were always asked was "where are you going first? The reply, in general, received one of two responses. Opinions on India never seem to take the middle ground, you either love it or hate it - even the idea of it, as we found out. So, what provokes these extremes? Is it the climate? Which neatly brings me to my main problem in India, a feeling of guilt. What to do with the problem of beggars? All of these questions are ...

Sunday, 29 November 2009. Hello friends and family! Sorry its been a while! Hopefully the next couple of blog entries will keep you up to date with what we have been up to. Well, where can we start? On the 2nd November one of my best friends, Miss Kirsty Owens, arrived with her boyfriend Mr Robert Owen (better known to most of you as "Bez") as they were coming to see us for a week in Goa! Told them - whoops! I was sure the TV said Saturday! It must be difficult getting a constant stream of NO! The plan i...

Monday, 26 July 2010. Cambodia: The Good, The Bad and The Ugly. It's estimated that between two and three million people were murdered by the Khmer Rouge. That's one person killed, every minute of every hour, every day; for five years. At the start of the genocide, Cambodia had a population of 7 million people. You are going to die. F*ck you! Sarah wasn't keen on going back to the riverfront after that. Ta Prom (the 'Tomb Raider' strangler fig tree). Here are a few more photos of our time in Cambodia.

Saturday, 9 October 2010. The End of Asia. Yet again it is me, Sarah, who will update you on the last of our adventures as Andrew claims he does enough work at school; but don’t worry I will get him writing again soon. We are nearing the end of our Asian adventures, so this will be our last entry for Asia…. Boo. The thought of sharing a room with other people made me feel physically sick, plus the fact that Andrew snores like a trooper means the other people would not be getting any sleep (ha ha! It was ...

Sunday, 10 January 2010. It Aint Half Hot Mum. To make a change to tales of our travels, we thought we would give our top ten annoying things we have found on our trip so far. In no particular order:. 10 Being ripped off for being a westerner - more the principle than price that winds me up. 9 Squat n plop toilets with grimy, slippy floors (very dangerous when drunk). 7 Having to stay next to toilet with Delhi-Belly for days for fear of bum-wee. 6 Driving in India - buses, cows, dogs, and idiots on bikes.

Thursday, 25 March 2010. Namaste friends and family. Hope that you are all okay back in the UK and its finally starting to warm up. We would love to say that we had a really exciting final week but we had to cancel most of our plans as Andrew was struck down by a bad dose of food poisoning which resulted in another visit from the doctor and a injection in the bum! Raju and Paresh who looked after us at Lakeside and kept us entertained. Sandip our taxi driver who safely took us everywhere we wanted to go.

Tuesday, 22 June 2010. Good Morning, Vietnam. We hadn't really done much research into Vietnam therefore our expectations were very low, another thing which we have found makes for the best time. I must say that our first impressions as we drove through. Here are a few shots of what we got up to on the city tour. This is the Notre Dam Cathedral. For the next part of our trip were took a flight up to North Vietnam to Hanoi, the capital. Surprisingly the flight took nearly 3 hours, you wouldnt think it...

Tuesday, 27 April 2010. Welcome To The Jungle! Well a big hello from Borneo to our blog followers. We have arrived safely in Kuching from our week long trip in Singapore which we enjoyed but our credit card didn't! We didnt really have much of plan for Kuching, we knew that we would like to go and see the Orangutans and see some of the Jungle but that was about it - if honest, we were getting a bit travel weary so fancied some R and R (he he, we say this every other week). A mother and its baby, awh.
