Trikeri has many regular visitors, returning year after year to seek the peace and tranquility that the island offers. For many years Chris and Allan Hollick, too, enjoyed their time there. Sadly in August 2008, following a long illness, Chris passed away. In her memory Allan, with fellow trustees and Trikeri enthusiasts Stephen Rogers and Richard Chaloner, have formed and registered a new UK charity. For this remote community the funds for such. Trikeri Island is situated in the Pagasitic Gulf just off the toe of the Pelion Peninsula, halfway between Athens and Thessaloniki. Less than 2 kilometres long by about 1 kilometre wide, it is one of the smallest inhabited islands in Greece and has been described in the Rough Guide as 'the smallest Greek Island but with everything you really need'.
