The Sigh Office: Blyth: Down By The Waterfront
http://thesighoffice.blogspot.com/2008/08/blyth-down-by-waterfront.html
Wednesday, August 6, 2008. Blyth: Down By The Waterfront. I've lived in San Francisco for over a year now and sometimes I still forget how fucking beautiful it can be. This weekend, after much debauchery, my dating partner and I took a long walk down Funston beach. It was aaaamazing! Still Saturday there was hangliders, crashing waves, dance lessons and an unbelievable sunset. Cue the music. Those pictures are gorgeous! I haven't been to SF since 2005. I need to get out there again. Beth: THE BIG SHE BANG.

Friday, 19 November 2010. I need somebody. Help! Over the next 6 months BSM will be going a little quieter on the new release front as we start the build up towards our mid-2011 album campaigns. You make Christmas fun again? And this is where you come in. Have a read through the below and if you make it to the end still thinking "that doesn't sound too shit", get in touch. And we'll have a chat. I won't lie, some of the jobs won't be a whole lot of fun. Stuffing envelopes is tedious, as is making cou...

Kings County Bop: January 2011

Lollygaggings of Brooklyn's Sinust. Monday, January 31, 2011. The Victory on State and Hoyt is closed. I'm wondering if the block is cursed since Kili shut down recently too. Sarcastic signs on the door window is trying to drive traffic to Building on Bond, that is taking on the V staff. You can still get coffee at the Little Sweet Cafe. On the block (truly miniature), but V was pretty fun and I'll be sure to have a coffee for the Victory.at.eh ra.the Little Sweet. The Living End - Prisoner of Society.

Blog Scary Monsters: 2010
http://blogscarymonsters.blogspot.com/2010/11/2010.html
Tuesday, 16 November 2010. So, 2010. How was it for you? The year couldn't have got off to a better start for us with the square-shaped (Fantasy Football funded) release of party-loving Andrew W.K. Which sold out in what felt like a matter of hours, quickly followed in similar fashion by the debut Tall Ships. EP which also sold out. Twice. With a third pressing on the brink of disappearing, too. The release of Walter Schreifels. This unfortunately meant that the BSM 5-a-side football tournament. Kept rel...

thunderbolt: Basement Songs - "Stay On" by The BoDeans
http://augustone.blogspot.com/2007/08/basement-songs-stay-on-by-bodeans.html
Thursday, August 23, 2007. Basement Songs - "Stay On" by The BoDeans. Inspiration comes at you from all places. Sometimes it is the actions of another person, sometimes it is the encouraging words from a friend or loved one. And sometimes, inspiration comes in the form of a random discovery like a song on a cd you find in the $2 bin. Thus is the case with this week’s basement song, “Stay On,” by The BoDeans. Did I lead her astray? Subscribe to: Post Comments (Atom). And a Lifetime movie called Deceit.

thunderbolt: Basement Songs book update- March
http://augustone.blogspot.com/2012/03/basement-songs-book-update-march.html
Saturday, March 10, 2012. Basement Songs book update- March. I'm happy to report that the first draft of the book is completed. From here I'm going to have some people read it and make sure there aren't an abundance of typos and then I hope to get it to a couple of critics for possible quotes. I'm also waiting to hear back from several of the artists I wrote about hoping they'll give me permission to use their lyrics. If anyone has an in with Tom Waits or Bruce Springsteen let me know. Huey Lewis and The...
