Grown exclusively in Argentina, this hybrid of muscat and criolla (aka mission) makes a floral and delicious white wine that I love drinking in summer. (And, to be honest, the rest of the year as well.) The better Torrontés wines … Read more. August 5, 2015. David J. Montgomery. Wine Wednesday: Kung Fu Riesling 2013. September 30, 2015. Cocktail Recipe: Eye-Opening Eggnog. This festive and decadent drink will put you in the mood for the holidays with a delicious mixture of Caffè Borghetti Espresso-Coffee Liqueur (to give you that little extra eye-opening jolt), a top-quality spiced rum like Chairman’s Reserve, and eggnog. You can make your own eggnog — that’s always preferable. But I generally use a … Read more. November 23, 2015. David J. Montgomery. Cocktail Recipe: Spanish-Style Gin Tonica. September 28, 2015. Released: May 21, 2009. Say, you seem not yourself. Worry be not far from you now. All that I'm trying to say. Is you're less than discreet. Pushing the whole world away. But you're heart is on your sleeve. When all your fears. They go dancing all around you. When it all comes crashing down. Say, you seem so burdened down. Frailty, it seems, has stolen your crown. You're staring down clock hands. And biting your tongue as you wait. But time never should be prescribed. As the cure for our pain. Until we t...

Wine Wednesday: Kung Fu Riesling 2013. This wine with the odd name and funky label from Charles Smith Wines in Washington State has gotten a lot of acclaim — 90 points from Robert Parker, etc. — so I was looking forward to trying it. Riesling is one of my favorite types of wine. Kung Fu Riesling 2013 has a nice floral … Read more. September 30, 2015. David J. Montgomery. Whiskey Review: Teeling Small Batch Irish Whiskey. Wine Wednesday: Marqués de Cáceres Rosado Rosé. Along with Torrontés wines from Argentina (which I wrote about last week), one of my favorite types of wine to drink during summer are rosés. They’re refreshing, fruity, lovely to look at — what more could you ask for? Unfortunately, a lot of rosés aren’t very good. Although this is true of most (all? Types of … Read more. August 12, 2015.
