Sunday, January 26, 2014. I felt creative on this cold weekend and decided to add some spring colors to my denim rag wreath. I will take it back down to the basement until I need it for spring decorating. Here is the before/after:. Umm ripping and tying fabric. sounds like a stress reliever to me! http://zoeyquilts.blogspot.com/2014/12/pilgrim-paper-pieced-block-almost-done.html
Sunday, December 28, 2014. Pilgrim Paper-Pieced Block almost Done. I spent most of today finishing this pilgrim block that I started last week. I purchased the pattern and made the female version last spring. Then I did nothing more until last week. This year I hosted Thanksgiving dinner and kicked myself for not having finished these. I vowed that I would have them ready for 2015. I feel pretty sure that I will have them ready to decorate my dessert table for 2015! Subscribe to: Post Comments (Atom).

Sunday, March 10, 2013. Links to this post. Sunday, March 3, 2013. Last weekend I made a bunch of blocks just because I was itchin' to be stitchin'. Saturday morning I decided to design some type of border to put around the six witch blocks above. I am trying not to buy new fabric, so I raided my stash and found these green and purple pieces that I thought would work. After a day or so of contemplation I came up with this 3" x 7" block to add to all four sides of the witch:. Links to this post. After a c...

Welcome to Perennial Passion. Sunday, July 26, 2015. Lionheart Asiatic Tango Lilies - and other Yellow July Bloomers. These Lionheart Tango lilies are beautiful this year! It's the first year the deer did not eat 90% of them. At the beginning of this garden path, you can barely see the Lionhearts; until you walk further along around the curve. And the Lionhearts are suddenly right next to you in all their gorgeous yellow/purple glory! They are not quite fully open in the photo below:. Links to this post.

Perennial Passion: It's a Good Year for Feverfew
http://perennialpassion.blogspot.com/2015/07/its-good-year-for-feverfew.html
Welcome to Perennial Passion. Sunday, July 5, 2015. It's a Good Year for Feverfew. Feverfew is an invasive herb that I usually keep contained by pulling out young plants each spring. This year I did not get around to pulling it out and I am being rewarded with masses of the white fluffy flowers. But for now I am just going to enjoy the flowers. Do you see that green and blue container planter at the edge of the wooded area? Does it look like anything familiar? Yes, it's a garbage can. I painted my old ch...

Perennial Passion: Garden Junk Arrangements
http://perennialpassion.blogspot.com/2015/06/garden-junk-arrangements.html
Welcome to Perennial Passion. Saturday, June 27, 2015. I really enjoy turning junk into flower arrangements on my deck. I have had the rusty milk can for years, but this is the first year for the rusty old tool box. In another area of the deck I have planted and old indoor light with 'Vampire' Calibrachoa, Creeping Jenny and white biden. Do you remember these floor lights that almost everyone had in at least one corner of their living room? I think they make wonderful planters. I appreciate you taking th...

Zoey Quilts: Denim Wreath
http://zoeyquilts.blogspot.com/2013/08/denim-wreath.html
Sunday, August 11, 2013. OK, this is not quilting, but it is at least crafty. I also lost a good deal of finger skin on this project,. So I am really feeling the need to show off my new denim rag wreath. It all began when I was in the basement and saw an old metal wreath form that I have had for years. My many mornings of Pinterest surfing caused a sudden urge to make a denim rag wreath. Began to tie them to the wire wreath frame. This is not a quick project. August 11, 2013 at 4:30 PM. I for the first t...
