Meet the mead. - tabalon

Meet the mead. - tabalon. Jan 12th, 2012 @ 02:06 pm. So we've been brewing our first batch of mead. It was a lot of fun, and there'll be more to come! We made three varieties called Edmund I, Edmund II and Siegmund. (so named by our expert on mead naming, Pan) The first two are an attempt to make the same mead twice, by performing all steps identically. Meant to establish the influence of 'luck' versus the influence of the recipe. Luckily, the recipe won. Mead met alcohol self-made. And they're not terri...

At half past ten in the evening, the doorbell rang. Jumpy and I wondered who that might be, visiting us unannounced at such a time. So I asked "Who's there? Via the door phone. No answer. Opening the door to the stairs. lots of smoke. Uhm. Okay? What would you pack if you had less than a minute to get out? August 22nd, 2010 09:38 am (UTC).

Time almost seems to have been distorted since then. life goes on, but it's weird, for a while. You can click the photos below to see them larger, if you desire. Very recently, there has bee...

Lots o' stuff happened, but enough of that. - tabalon. Lots o' stuff happened, but enough of that. Lots o' stuff happened, but enough of that. Mar 28th, 2010 @ 08:11 pm. I couldn't begin to recap all the stuff worth writing about that happened since the last entry. So let's skip that, shall we? I'm currently looking forward to Amur's, Mafundi's and my own combined birthday party. That's going to be so much fun! Preparations are running, but until now it's pretty laid back. Watchmen - tabalon

Mar 9th, 2009 @ 02:07 pm. We've been to the movies, again. This time, Pangur, Jumpy and me went to see "Watchmen", a graphical novel made into a movie. Watchmen was supposedly impossible to bring to the screen. It's definitely worth seeing, though you'll have to like, or at least be able to tolerate, the superhero genre. That said, I don't regret having seen it, and I still recommend it, but leave your kids at home. March 10th, 2009 11:58 am (UTC). Gee, thanks, exactly what I needed to hear. :). March 10...
