The distillery is world famous for its smoky-sweet whisky with a hint of the sea. Munros Bar stocks a selection of Talisker malts, including Talisker Storm and the fabulous Talisker 25 year old. You can take a tour to discover how the famous dram is made but be sure to book well in advance in the summer months as it gets very busy.

But you really need to go and visit the Oystershed during the day. Lobster and chips, the wonderful Loch Harport oysters or delicious fish soup will make a great lunch. Alternatively you could buy some smoked salmon or prawns for a special addition to your picnic. Paul and Isle of Skye oysters appeared in National Geographic Magazine last year.
