Sunday, January 21, 2007. Olympic Sculpture Park Opening. Seattle has a new public space, the Olympic Sculpture Park, and we all went down for the official opening. The park is on an old industrial space on the Seattle waterfront and consists of three strips of land separated by railroad tracks and a highway, that are skillfully stitched together into one great park. Alexander Calder's "Eagle" perched atop the high point of the park. Aki at the foot of the "Eagle". Posted by Thomas O'Keefe @ 4:00 PM.

Everybody loves a road trip and since things were a little slow around the office during the week between Christmas and New Years Years, Aki and I decided to make the trek down to California to visit my colleague Dave in Paradise, CA. We crossed over the Siskiyou Summit and into California. As you come down out of the pass you enter the Klamath River Valley. The Klamath has been the site of some of the most contentious debates over river management in the West. Elmo...We got to...

Saturday, November 17, 2007. I'm not sure how many three year olds go on an 8 mile backpacking trip into the Alpine Lakes Wilderness at 4500' elevation on a cold and rainy weekend in November, but Aki and Cassia went out for such an adventure recently. Aki heading up the trail with Omar, Cassia, and Jan. Aki and Omar at the boundary marker for the Alpine Lakes Wilderness. A cool waterfall on the trail. We find snow as we get above 4000'. Aki had a great time playing with the white stuff. Aki went to work...
