Dienstag, 08.05.2001. Der Sachverständige ist angeblich unterwegs. Um die Wartezeit zu überbrücken, holten wir Infos ein, wo man vor Union Island schnorcheln kann. Das "mittlere" Riff im Hafen wurde uns empfohlen, dort könne man mit dem Dingi hinfahren und ankern. Es sei noch nicht beschädigt, da dort so gut wie niemand schnorchelt. Wieder ein Tag ohne Aktivität: Strand, schnorcheln, lesen. Das Schnorcheln ist wirklich nicht übel. Andreas entdeckte sogar eine Hummerburg.

Sonntag, 06.05.2001. Andreas fuhr schon um acht Uhr mit dem Dingi an Land. Zuerst wollte er an dem Einschreibe-Büro vorbei und die genauen Gebühren erfragen (20 US-$ pro Boot oder 20 EC pro Teilnehmer der Crew? Die beiden Jungs von Stardust hatten nicht frei bekommen - also kam Andreas leicht enttäuscht aber immerhin mit Brot zurück und wir frühstückten. Freitag, 04.05.2001. In die Grand Bay kommt nachts eine nicht zu ignorierende Dünung, die das Boot ziemlich zum Schaukeln brachte. Wenn man im Bett herumgerollt wird, schläft es sich gar nicht so gut. Mit altem Brot fütterte Matthis Zebrafische; Hunderte kamen direkt ans Boot. Das Riff ist sehr schön. Frank machte erste Unterwasser-Fotos. Wir beschlossen, noch eine Nacht auf Mustique zu verbringen. Aus der wundervollen Marigot-Bay (laut Joachim: Haribo-Bay) gings nicht ganz so früh los: zuerst fuhren Joachim und Katharina zur Customs Office, um uns auf St. Lucia ordnungsgemäß an- und abzumelden, zu Anjas Freude gab's einen Stempel in den Pass. Dienstag, 01.05.2001. Außer Skippi hat in dieser Nacht anscheinend niemand gut geschlafen. Daher machte es uns auch nicht aus, kurz nach sechs Uhr aufzustehen. Gegen sieben Uhr begannen wir damit, die Anker zu lichten und um acht waren wir schon draußen aus der Laborie Bay und auf dem Weg nach St. Vincent. An der Südspitze von St. Lucia trafen wir wieder auf eine Delfinschule. Ein paar Minuten lang schwammen sie um unseren Bug, teils zum Greifen nah.
