I had been thinking about what I would do for his birthday months ago. The first year we were together, James and I took a road trip to Chicago for a birthday weekend. It seemed to be the best fit for me to continue to stay at home with Sophia during the days. Teaching has turned out to be very exhausting. A four hour shift feels more like ten.
