Which means I should find that ravioli package and actually do the math, to see if I dug into any bonus points last night. I’m guessing no, but 18 points is less leeway than 22. It changed today, with a gain of 1.2 pounds, bringing my total loss back down to 8.6 pounds from 9.8. On the other hand, I rode 40 miles in the 5-Boro Tour this week, and actually enjoyed it. Yesterday I had the chance to take some time off from thinking about my job, politics and all the other things that have been dominating this blog of late, and go downtown to enjoy my friend Nicole Maynard's show at the Bowery Gallery, Images of Optimism. Her paintings here are mostly nature scenes, from backyard landscapes to close-ups of butterflies, and upon viewing them, one can't help feel a soothing calm.
