Taking Notes & Pictures

Taking Notes and Pictures. Wishing you all a very Happy New Year. Thank you so much for visiting and commenting on my blog. Hope you’ll all stop by again in 2013. A belated Merry Christmas to you all. Hope you’ve had a lovely Christmas with the ones you love. I’ve just returned home after spending a week at my mom’s house celebrating Christmas, relaxing and eating way too much food – it’s been wonderful! I feel so guilty about not blogging these days. It’s been crazy long hours every day since ...I promi...

taking notes | a secondary music educator's classroom

A secondary music educator's classroom. Hello…my first magic moment of the year! Today I was teaching note values to Year 7 students and came up with a new game. Each standing student is ‘worth’ one beat (crotchet/quarter note). If they are kneeling they are worth half a beat (quaver/eighth note) and sitting or lying down, they are worth a quarter of a beat (semiquaver/16th note). The most creative combinations of students are rewarded (in my case, with a sticker! Michelle’s magic moments! They can go to...

I love being a momma to this cutie! Who refused to look at the camera because feeding his big brother sticks was much, much more important ;). Hanging Gardens State Park.

Taking Notice

Saturday, May 20, 2006. First stop: San Francisco! I want to see Lombard Street, walk around more of Chinatown, and visit some museums. (We didn't do some of these things today because many of them closed at 5 or 6 pm. I feel a little guilty going tomorrow, but hopefully it will be ok). Right now, April is doing her exercises while I start this new blog. Monday night, April and I leave on our 14-day bus trip. What did we get ourselves into! Posted by CK @ 10:10 PM. TAKING NOTICE

Thursday, August 13, 2015. All My Hope Lies in Your Great Mercy. Summer has been racing by at a rate I can't believe. Maybe its because of the phase we are in with the boys but I just can't believe its almost Fall. We still have another trip to California planned and a fun camping trip on Lake Superior in the early Fall so the fun isn't over yet. Here are some recent pictures and something I have been reading over and over the past few days! All My Hope Lies in Your Great Mercy. Lord, have mercy on me!
