My type of paradise: Santorini | Taking Tangent
https://takingtangent.wordpress.com/2012/11/02/my-type-of-paradise-santorini
A road to an unknown destination. November 2, 2012. My type of paradise: Santorini. Much like Cinque Terre, I cannot describe my love for Santorini. There’s just something magical when beautiful architecture, mountains/cliff side, and ocean come together. It is a beautiful place where I had a blast with new friends that I had just met. YOU need to go to there. STAT! Day 1: F.O.B. Fresh off the Boat. Day 2: Jumping Off the Boat. The formation of the volcano is something I had never seen before! Although t...
Future Trip Planning | Taking Tangent

A road to an unknown destination. November 19, 2012. For people who have been reading, it shouldn’t be a surprise that I sort of winged my European trip. I did finish what I considered bare bone minimal preparation. How to carry my money. Getting a French Visa. Setting up this blog. Setting up safety precautions (electronics serial # record, passport copies hand out). What were you doing for the past couple of months aside from making sure you graduate? Next post →. Follow Blog via Email. Enter your emai...
Food Porn – Opa Grecian Style!!! | Taking Tangent
https://takingtangent.wordpress.com/2012/11/13/food-porn-opa-grecian-style
A road to an unknown destination. November 13, 2012. Food Porn Opa Grecian Style! Yet another round of food porn to satisfy your eyes, but sadly not your stomachs! My first meal in Thessaloniki = Greek Salad for the win! Dinner in Thessaloniki with a fellow backpacker! Yummy taramosalata (fish roe spread). The famous Greek Dolmades Stuffed grape leaves with rice and a lemon sauce. I was excited to try this since a friend of mine raved about it when he was in Greece. But I was sad to find that the...With ...
Haven’t booked a hostel for the night? A-okay! | Taking Tangent
https://takingtangent.wordpress.com/2012/10/30/havent-booked-a-hostel-for-the-night-a-okay
A road to an unknown destination. October 30, 2012. Haven’t booked a hostel for the night? Fast forward 2 weeks post departure – I found myself in Paris having only booked accommodations for the first night. I remember reprimanding myself while researching online since most of the hostels had no vacancy or was too pricey. I left the hostel the next day, not knowing where I was going to stay the night, but I repeatedly told myself What’s the worst that could happen? Childhood dream comes true. Haha. As yo...

Taking Tangent | A road to an unknown destination
A road to an unknown destination. Greece: The FINAL wrap up. February 4, 2013. Yes The ULTIMATE procrastinator. I am well aware of my shortcomings as a blogger, but alas the calendar reminds me that I am soon approaching the 1 year anniversary of my trip’s departure date. (Is 3 months soon? I suppose it is in the timeline of someone who believes tomorrow is the day that the items on my to-do’s will go jump off a cliff). Also, thanks mom! Awards for ye who have so much faith and patience! The yearning to ...
Taking Tanka Home
Wednesday, March 2, 2011. Got the good news that Fiona and Kal, of the A River of Stones project, accepted the poem from the January 3 posting for their up-coming book! That made my day right there! I think the submission time is now closed so I am eagerly awaiting to see who else is in the book. I know my favorite bookseller - Joel Crockett - of the Four Eyed Bookstore is a particpant and I am hoping we both will be there putting Gualala on the River of Stones map. A round trip ticket. We come back home.
