Have a drink. It might help that mortis attitude of yours. Friday, October 13, 2006. Now, several months later I’ve gotten into the 52 groove and I really enjoy it. There are definite weaknesses, which I will address later, but what doesn’t have problems? When people say that nothing is happening I shrug my shoulders but internally I am resisting the urge to slap them. Nothing happening? Who remembers Robinson’s Starman when he took Jack Knight for eighty issues of awesome? Posted by Benhatt at 8:34 AM.

Have a drink. It might help that mortis attitude of yours. Thursday, March 30, 2006. Is There Nothing Sacred or Loeb/Liefeld's Onslaught Reborn. So I was doing my my everyday or so check of Newsarama and I came across this. Why would anyone in their right mind want to take a revist to the Reborn Universe? Really. I mean really really. Does anyone remember the Reborn Universe? With the old dude who kept Captain America's shield in his basement? Thor frozen in a block of ice? Ultimate Spider-man is taking ...

Only here would a twenty-three-year-old musician who is "between jobs" while dating a seventeen-year-old high school girl but actually in love with a delivery woman who can rollerblade through dreams be cool. And not only cool but poignant as well. Because when it happens with my friends it is nothing but drama. Bryan Lee O'Malley you are equally my hero. Posted by Benhatt at 5:22 PM. If they'r...

Have a drink. It might help that mortis attitude of yours. Sunday, April 02, 2006. My pick for week 3/29. On the down side we have two comics that I really wanted to like. I mean I really did. We have Superman/Batman #24 and New Avengers: Illuminati. I'll say again I wanted to like these comics but they were terrible. Superman/Batman continued its descent into a wacky, ridiculous Elseworld comic. Where is the first storyline that to many set up Infinite Crisis? They are. Let's go down the list. Cover: Se...

Have a drink. It might help that mortis attitude of yours. Wednesday, March 22, 2006. I'm Rick Jones Bitch! Or the wonders of Busiek/Pacheo. Can't you just see Jimmy Olsen in the driver's seat instead of Rick Jones? I know I can. Especially if he is "down, dirty an' loaded to bear". Does anyone hear an echo? Posted by Benhatt at 9:58 PM. Sunday, March 19, 2006. My pick for the week of 3/15. Stroyline can be a bit overplayed but this time around all I could think was "Yes! Either Connor is still weak from...

He is raging. Even his name is Rage, if that isn't a sign of just how pissed off he is than the fact that he says it four times in one panel is the real kicker. Only a writer who really tapped Rage's.well rage could really have written this dialogue. I mean look at it. It's so full of fury. Friday, March 10, 2006.

Have a drink. It might help that mortis attitude of yours. Thursday, October 26, 2006. Ok I won’t lie to the public out there. I want to write for a living and more importantly I want to write comics. I’m about as far from that goal as possible right now but I feel that on some level there has been a little movement. So I thought I’d do a post on If I Were A Writer this is what I would do and so on. You got it Mirror Master. With grudges on both sides I’m telling you this could be a knockdown drag out.

So in case you have been living under a rock or in some dark cave you should know two things 1) Mandisa. Deserves to be the next American Idol (I'm watching the show for the first time ever and finding myself hooked) and 2) Peter Parker has got himself a new suit. You've got to change with the times. Thank god Nightwing did or we would still be seeing that high collar. Now, who needs buildings?

While I ponder I'll leave you with this panel from Wolverine #47. Umcrap. Um.holy crap! UmHoly Sweet Mama Pajama Crap! Humberto Ramos, you are the best. When you leave the comic so do I. Have a drink. It might help that mortis attitude of yours. Tuesday, October 31, 2006. My pick for last week: 10/15. Posted by Benhatt at 6:14 AM. Sunday, October 29, 2006. I’ve been thinking about the new Thunderbolts since the announcement on Newsarama. After much pondering, I have decided that I am very unexcited about this change in both characters and creative team. It’s not because I hate Marvel, but because I don’t. However, with Civil War #4 we see the end of these characters and a whole new roster.
