Find Joy in the Journey". Sunday, April 15, 2012. The kids got up to the jelly bean trail left by the Easter bunny which they love to follow.then on to the search for their "baskets." Italians don't have Easter baskets in their traditions so we use Huge white mixing bowls. They also don't have egg hunts! I know crazy right! My kids are going to love having a real Easter in the states our first year staying home. But one tradition we do love is the HUGE chocolate eggs they have here during Easter!

Tuesday, February 24, 2009. Just seems like another day so far.guess I'll see how it goes. I'm still teaching and studying a ton! I might be going to Africa to volunteer this year if all works out. It will either be later in March or in the fall. I'm really excited! I've wanted to do this for so long now! I guess that's just a little update since I only have one post so far-well now two. Sunday, September 27, 2009. Friday morning a little after 5am after my dad went to work I was downstairs and heard the cat meowing at the door, I thought 'he just went out with dad, why does he want in now? I soon found out. I open the door, it's dark and in he comes and sets a mouse down. It starts running around and over my foot! I about passed out! Normally it wouldn't bug me so much but it was early in the morning, I hadn't slept, and the mouse ran over my foot! Otherwise good boy Tom!

August 21, 2012. We had quite the weekend full of major long walks and subway rides! First off let me just say that I don't mind the subway except for the fact that is smells strongly of urine, and there is no airflow to speak of. Ugh. Gary's brother Rick came to visit us this weekend! We did make sure to stop at Sprinkles though and get ourselves the best cupcakes EVER! My favorite is the red velvet. February 25, 2012. Oh how I love to ski! Don't I look happy in this picture? I'm so excited to get on the slopes and ski my day away! Fast forward 10 years to my second experience on the slopes. I seriously was so giddy I'm sure I was annoying as heck on the car ride. We made it to the beginner slope so I could get used to skiing again. I did great! I went down a couple times and didn't fall once. My confidence level was phenomenal! So we went to the next hardest slope. By this time, my confidence had.
