They are content to sit back and shake their heads at us silly youngsters, launching into clichéd jeers like 我 們 是 7788! Why are they sleeping at the airport at 7 am? Why don’t they seem to have any belongings? What do they do for the entire day, watching planes and people leave for places they themselves will never go to?

The day got off to a mildly depressing start when V, who is probably the closest I have to a mentor in the office, noticed the manila envelope I was carrying which contained my latest job application and commented, "You're still trying (to find another job)? 1 pair of pink heels - $28 (less 10 10%). 1 denim half-jacket - $34 (less 50%). 1 black skirt - $42 (less 50%). 3 basic tops - $36 (less 36%). 1 Snoopy top - $15 (less 25%).
