Tales From the Crib: Lessons from Tia Nanny

17 different women, 36 crazy children, 0 babies in utero. Adventures, Advice and Questions from a group of Mormon women who met in Queens, NY and have now scattered all over the place. Monday, October 06, 2008. Lessons from Tia Nanny. While our goals for the summer were to get ahead financially and for our boys to know their abuela, Tia Nanny seemed determined to turn me into a traditional Mexican housewife. You folded the laundry wrong. This ironing is NO GOOD. This food is NO GOOD for the boys to eat.

Tales From the Crib: December 2005

17 different women, 36 crazy children, 0 babies in utero. Adventures, Advice and Questions from a group of Mormon women who met in Queens, NY and have now scattered all over the place. Friday, December 30, 2005. I am not from UT so I very well could be the last mormon to know about the mormon modest t-shirt craze. I have ordered them from a few different companies off the internet. I just found a new one: DownEast Basics. Posted by This is Carrie @ 12/30/2005 03:36:00 PM. Wednesday, December 28, 2005.

17 different women, 36 crazy children, 0 babies in utero. Adventures, Advice and Questions from a group of Mormon women who met in Queens, NY and have now scattered all over the place. Wednesday, May 31, 2006. Our Little Wonder Child. As in, I wonder WHERE exactly he came from. Child, the other one. We understand Noe perfectly. He is just like us. He is quiet, doesn’t like to wake up early in the mornings, and gets anxious in social gatherings. Despite the sleep deprivation and small talk with strangers,...

Tales From the Crib: April 2006

17 different women, 36 crazy children, 0 babies in utero. Adventures, Advice and Questions from a group of Mormon women who met in Queens, NY and have now scattered all over the place. Sunday, April 30, 2006. I realized that I was mourning the loss of my pregnancy. I. Has anyone else felt this? Or heard of this? Is this, in any way, a typical part of the post-partum experience? Has anyone had other experiences with post-partum depression? Posted by sunny @ 4/30/2006 10:36:00 AM. Friday, April 28, 2006.

a million little moments: What secret?

http://millionmoments.blogspot.com/2007/08/what-secret.html

A million little moments. A parenting blog by Kiddo's Mom and Dad. Monday, August 27, 2007. Posted by Paul P. Last night I inadvertently shared a secret with my whole ward (i.e. church congregation). Me and my stinking big mouth. The speaker quipped, "Why does she get a chair to sit on and I don't.". Without thinking, I blurted out, "Because she is expecting.". I think only about 3 people in the room knew the information before my little outburst. Posted at 8/27/2007 11:15:00 AM. August 27, 2007 11:49 AM.

A million little moments. A parenting blog by Kiddo's Mom and Dad. Thursday, April 26, 2007. Posted by Inexperienced Mom. Sorry we've been a bit quiet over here. Things sure aren't quiet in real life! Today I graduated with my Master of Arts degree! I am so excited for this milestone. It has been a long road (sometimes quite bumpy), but one I would not trade for anything. I am so happy and proud of the things that have happened these last few months. I think this picture about sums it up for me. One of t...

a million little moments: Off to the Big Apple

http://millionmoments.blogspot.com/2007/07/off-to-big-apple.html

A million little moments. A parenting blog by Kiddo's Mom and Dad. Friday, July 06, 2007. Off to the Big Apple. Posted by Paul P. Yesterday I sent C and Kiddo off to the Big Apple. It was an interesting experience. They have gone places before (most notably twice to see C's parents in California), but this time was different for me. Maybe Kiddo and I are more alike than I realized: I think I had a bit of separation anxiety. Can you believe he is only just over seven months old? Man time is flying by.

Outnumbered and loving it: July 2009

http://bigtoephotos.blogspot.com/2009_07_01_archive.html

Friday, July 10, 2009. On a less exhibitionist note, Cameron hasn't worn a diaper in about 2 months now. One day I decided to put a painters cloth under his sheets and give him his milk early. He went to bed in underwear and woke up dry, and hasn't ever wet his bed. Good Job Cameron! Sunday, July 5, 2009. Beach baby, beach baby. I really love having the opportunity to live so close to the beach, aka The Shore as it's know to Jersey-ites. I really wish we could go every weekend! Our setup- SO nice!

Glass Posse: November 2009

http://kristyglass.blogspot.com/2009_11_01_archive.html

Monday, November 30, 2009. I live a polarized life. It's up or it's down. It's sometimes extreme. Right now both are working at once. It's down because of the injury and all I need to do.but the stuff I need to do is up. Get it? I also live my life sometimes from one big thing to the next. Like little rocks in a pond.Ok, big rocks. So recently the rocks: Thanksgiving and my upcoming concert. Until I am done with the concert rock, I have a hard time thinking about anything else. Jason calls it THE ZONE.

Tales from the Crib. The adventures of an urban mom moving to the middle of nowhere, or so it seems. Furnishing your Home on a Dime? Upcycling is the Answer. November 18, 2015. A year ago, I would have never considered bringing a used piece of furniture into my home – I was a snob like that but now I’ve found a way to reuse people’s cast off furniture and make it my own style. Upcycling is now my newest hobby and I’m going to show you how to […]. December 18, 2015. December 10, 2015. December 10, 2015.

Tales from the Crib | Married with Children…& Other Issues

Tales from the Crib. Married with Children…& Other Issues. Get Me into that Stinkin’ Fresh Air. July 17, 2015. July 18, 2015. Don’t be confused. The minute I get one of those Patagonia catalogs with somebody striking a yoga pose atop Machu Picchu, I don’t think twice. I don’t flip through the pages longingly. I don’t even hesitate. I toss it straight in the trash without a backwards glance at their wide array of sports bras. But I just spent the weekend in a tent with my family. And you know what? There ...
