It looked like it would be kind of neat to camp there. It is amazing how life, trees and shrubs can grow right out of all that lava. Did you get a chance to go down into any of the caves in the area? The redwoods towering on both sides of the road only giving way to the Clearwater River. What a ride. I hope these pictures give you a feel for what we saw.
