Tales from the Revolution. What a long strange trip it's been. The Summer of Love. In the middle of July, I was walking across Washington Square Park when I saw Abbie Hoffman. Abbie hated hippies. He yelled at me, What are you doing, why don’t you grow up and get political, you stupid hippie, or something like that. That was usually what Abbie yelled. You do know that they’re rioting in the ghettos, don’t you? I did know but I was going to a concert. As the flower children were putting some flowers i...

Tales from the Revolution. What a long strange trip it's been. The Summer of Love. As 1967 turned into 1968, 4 big things happened. Three, the Fillmore East opened on March 8 and every weekend all winter was like the Summer of Love for me. Because I was in SDS and because JJ knew I would do what he told me to do, he and I became Math representatives to the SDS Strike Steering Committee. I was not fond of meetings and JJ had to drag me to most of them. Pages in the Story. The Summer of Love.

"Tales From The Ref Desk
Tales From The Ref Desk. A resource for harried librarians everywhere. Queen Bee is having a royal hissy because 'someone' made arrangements to attend a very important national conference but they failed to notice that they would be arriving the same day the conference starts instead of the day before. She is seething because they are going to miss a big chunk of the important programs offered that first day. She may want to consider NOT handing over the company credit card to just anyone next time.

Tales from the Registry. Living the registered life A project of RSOL, Inc. Concerning “Sex Offender” Laws. August 13, 2015. Middot; Leave a comment. I, George Schmidt, am writing for federal inmate Robert Dobbertin. He says: The new “Justice Act” that congress is debating would be a great thing if passed. It would finally give federal inmates the 15% off for good-time that was supposed to be done years ago. That alone would cut my sentence by 70 days. […]. Continue reading →. Tales from the Reject Ranch
Tales from the Reject Ranch. Tuesday, February 25, 2014. Ok, so I see I have not written in quite a while. Sorry. Anyway, since there is rarely a dull moment here on the ranch, I had to share this little story with you. As you know, we have four dogs. They like to go outside all the time and bark at shit. They especially like to bark at cats and people who happen to be walking down the road at the precise moment we let them all out and they scare the bejeezus out of said walkers. Anyway, Ava seems fine&#...

Tales from the Restaurant
Tales from the Restaurant. Tales from the Restaurant. Where you'll find all the restaurant dirt you'll ever need. Friday, November 16, 2012. So when something happens that could threaten the environment your food is cooked in, it becomes absolutely imperative that the issue resolves itself. But what's more important is that no restaurant guest ever finds out. Turns out it was something a hell of a lot funnier. An unsuspecting customer took a stroll into the restroom to take a leisurely piss. When finishe...

Tales from the Ricebox
Tales from the Ricebox. The Lives and Adventures of seven ferrets and their human companions. Tuesday, July 7, 2009. I waited one extra day to bring the ferrets 'back home' just to make sure that the room was aired out well after painting for their safety. All in all, it was hard work, I enjoyed the project, it was much easier than I thought to do some of these things.AND when my husband finally saw it he said it looked fantastic that I did a wonderful job. Ego boost! Posted by The Woozles. 160;We discus...
Tales from the Rift
Friday, October 14, 2016. At daybreak on 4 November 1587 the King of Spain’s great Manila galleon, the Santa Ana. Was in sight of Isla de California. It was a crisp, clear day, without a single cloud in the sky. Tomás de Alzola stood on the prow of his command searching for signs of life on the desert hills. He knew the place was inhabited by Pericú indians. But they were peaceful and kept a low profile. Pirates were his main concern. He reached into his jacket pocket and took out an antique brass naviga...
