Adventures of others and I. Friday, May 29, 2009. Flattop Mt. 2009. Photos From Alaska Summer 2009 (2nd year here). When low tide hits the Turnagain Arm the ocean begins to quickly drain from it. Little twisty rivers are created, leaving this amazing pattern in the silt. High tide returns and it all disappears. It may be hard to tell with the clouds covering the city but, that is Anchorage. Adventures of others and I. Friday, July 10, 2009. Our day off and The Turnagain Arm. Photos From Summer 2009. If you have been harassing Belugas, watch your back. Their on to you! A couple of my roommates and I went down to the Mud Flats along the Turnagain Arm, just to check it out. The Flats, are infamous for its quicksand like characteristics. Of course we decide, to build a trail to a boulder that was about 70 feet out into the flats. Our trail to Lonely Rock is complete! Erika, Tara and I.

We hiked the Devils Garden Trail (7 miles) and we saw some amazing things, I may have gotten a heat stroke and threw up, and also may have lost my mind for a couple hours, but i would have to say Arches N.P. is an awesome place.
