Colleen Kelly B.A. I was born on February 11, 1981 and weighed only 2 lbs. 7 oz. I was diagnosed with cerebral palsy when I was nine months old. The doctors told my parents that I would never walk or talk and that I would be a vegetable for life! Thankfully my parents refused to believe their professional opinions and they followed their hearts. My mother knew that I was intelligent by my sparkling eyes; my determination to move from place to place, and the fact that I asked questions about everything.
