The Volk Family: Rowen turns 6!
http://ericandlizavolk.blogspot.com/2014/03/rowen-turns-6.html
Saturday, March 1, 2014. On December 27th, 2013 Rowen woke up to a few superhero decorations in the kitchen/dining area. Mommy made his favorite breakfast- monkey bread and bacon. Daddy, Mommy, and Paxton sang Happy Birthday to our incredibly clever, curious, sensitive, silly 6 year old. And presents. Rowen is a very fortunate little boy to have so many amazing friends. Each one showed such kindness and generosity on his birthday. We love you more every moment, every day, every year Roro! This Is The Day.

Wednesday, October 17, 2012. Pax at 13 months. It feels like Pax is official a one year old now that he is 13 months old. Here are a some of the things Pax is up to these days. Saying "uh oh" much more clearly. Still cruising but starting to let go much more often. Can entertain himself for long periods of time- he just explores the house and hunts down poor Racoco! Has been giving us lots of open mouth kisses at random times. LOVES chocolate- this boy was so meant to be a part of this family :). Fake la...

Thursday, September 13, 2012. Paxton is 1 year old! Our sweet little Pax is 1. I know it sounds cliche but really I can't believe my littlest baby is already 1. This year has flown by. The saying, "The days are long but the years are short" (or something like that) is so very true when you are a mama! The years really are flying by- no longer do we have an infant, he is 1! How did this happen? He LOVED the pancakes! Our family at Paxton's birthday party in the park. :). So cold and squishy! It was meant ...

Sunday, September 14, 2014. Paxton has blossomed in big, big ways! Some of Paxton's signature sayings and actions right now are. I'm soooo busy" if he doesn't want to do something. He also says other things are "so busy" like a chair, a toy, the stairs, his bed, etc if he doesn't want to do something he is asked to do. Loves to play words games and rhyming with Grammy. One of their favorites is "Are you ready Teddy? Want to sleep with his Grammy every night. He doesn't get to of course but he asks! Rowen...

Tuesday, March 4, 2014. Paxton at 2 1/2. Paxton turned 2 1/2 on February 27, 2014. This little guy brings so much laughter to our family. He is the "party animal" (as daddy likes to call him) of the family. Paxton can turn any situation into a silly one. He's always ready to play, laugh, tickle, tease, and love. He has a sweet and happy heart! Paxton's vocabulary has taken off! Rowen, mama, dada, Grammy, Quinn, etc, etc). Has a very definite yet calm way of saying "no" when he doesn't want to do something.

Saturday, March 1, 2014. Christmas 2013 started out with getting photos taken with Santa on the 23rd (with cousin Henry! And a fun afternoon playing at Mobius with the Gill's. Christmas Eve morning we spent at Grammy's house exchanging gifts and eating brunch along with Papa, Uncle TJ, Aunt Erin, and Henry. Later that day we went to Sky High to jump with the Gill's. The Volk Family: December 2012
http://ericandlizavolk.blogspot.com/2012_12_01_archive.html
Thursday, December 27, 2012. Posted by Ro and Pax's Mama. Thursday, December 6, 2012. We visited with Santa at Stanek's Nursery. On December 1st. It was really the perfect experience for both boys. There were about 2 other families in line ahead of us. It was very quiet and laid back. We will remember this for next year! As we expected, Pax was not fond of that scary looking guy so we had a family shot taken. Eric just loved Santa snuggling up to him ;). We left with gifts! Posted by Ro and Pax's Mama.

Wednesday, February 20, 2013. Paxton at 17 months. Look at that wild hair! I love Pax's hair. It truly has a mind of its own! Says RoRo, mama, dada, papa, something like "mama" for Grammy, yes, no, eyes, up, down, hot, and I am sure there are a few more that I can't think of right now. He really needs words for many more things because he screams for lots of things and gets very frustrated. I am sure the words are in there he just hasn't figured out how to make them come out yet :). Playing in the snow.
