Anyone remember this post. Probably not, that was over five years ago. Way back sometime in the 2001-2002 school year, when I was in Japan for the first time, someone online pointed me to a Japanese freeware game called Ikachan. A short and unpolished but unique game about the adventures of a little squid. The author's profile said he lived in Kyoto. Neat, so do I,. I thought, we could meet up, haha. As it turned out, the highlight of my year got itself over with right at the beginning, when Gideon Zhi.

So Cave Story is finally out for the Nintendo Wii - you are probably all playing through it right now! I guess some of you with long memories might be wondering what happened to the t-shirts I was supposed to be doing with Attract Mode. Official: Balrog IS a robot (maybe). I took a break today, and decided to fire up Cave Story for a little while. While playing I was reminded of how ambiguous a lot of the game's characters are- who are those men dressed as snakes, for example? What the hell are those things that look like white skateboards with red eyes meant to be? If Balrog's a robot, why does he look exactly like Pooh Black, a ghost? IS Balrog a robot? By the way, what is Balrog, exactly? I leave that to the player's imagination.

My little Corner of the Internet. Where the wild things grow. July 23rd, 2008. If you haven't read. S journal, here's the news. I've been suffering for a week or so with pain just behind my sternum and mid/lower back. Finally dragged my ass to the doctor yesterday, he says it's either an ulcer or pancreatitis(sp? About 11pm or so, I collapse in the kitchen with major pain and shortness of breath. Off to the hospital we go! Oh and I haven't really eaten since the Arbies around 11:30 am Yesterday.
