..............Tamar's Day Off...............: Fiona
http://tamarsdayoff.blogspot.com/p/fiona.html
The clock showed ten-thirty when Peter half stumbled, half fell through the bedroom door. I was burrowed in blankets, pretending to be asleep. I knew what was coming next, and my heart was thumping so furiously I thought he would hear it. I tried to control my breathing, and stirred slightly, hoping he would leave me alone, just this once. Your dinner's in the oven, it's been there since six o'clock.". You expect me to eat this fucked up shit? I wish he goes to sleep.". I wish he dies in his sleep.".

..............Tamar's Day Off...............: ROSE'S STORIES
http://tamarsdayoff.blogspot.com/p/roses-stories.html
ROSE’S STORY- THE CANDLE. Someone took the candle away. I don’t know why – it’s not like I ever lit it; it just sat there squarely, snugly, in the corner of my little shelf, and now there’s just an empty spot, dust free and just waiting. 8221; And look, there was one little lonely candle on the cake. Now I don’t have a birthday any more – I have a birthmonth, along with all of my ‘family’ that were born in September. We have a huge cake, a humungous cake, big enough for a vill...Well, maybe this year it ...

When you’re sitting on the toilet with a pail between your knees. And the sweat is sitting on your brow like dew. You don’t worry much ‘bout dinner or the dog that’s full of fleas. The only thing you worry ‘bout is you. As you shiver in your thinker’s pose, your pants down past your knees. And your body’s shaking like an leaf aflutter. You don’t worry much ‘bout laundry or the dying off of bees. You just wonder why your legs have turned to butter. And wonders what the hell you’re doing there. The melon s...

..............Tamar's Day Off...............: Reruns
http://tamarsdayoff.blogspot.com/p/reruns.html
A BRAND NEW WORLD. Holy shit, where am I? I woke up this morning to a brand new word. Don’t know what happened when I slept – maybe I died, but this doesn’t look much like heaven to me. And while it’s a bit warmer, it just isn’t hot. Enough to be the other place. Who knows? 8220;Hey, you’re new here, aren’t you? I turned around, and saw this old-timer, leaning on a stick and squinting at me. Yeah – I guess so, but where am I? 8221; I shouted, “Wait up! 8220;Do you know what’s going on? 8221; I panted.

Wednesday, April 20, 2011. GROWING OLD - much easier than growing up. However, my parts are wearing out. My knees feel crumbly, my right leg gets so sore I can hardly bend it, and I hobble around a lot trying to keep my kneecap in its socket. Degenerative Osteoarthritis, the Doctor called it. I guess I should get a cane, but would rather have a stick that I could paint and glue feathers and buttons on. April 21, 2011 at 7:07 AM. Subscribe to: Post Comments (Atom). ..............Tamar's Day Off...............: THE BIKE RIDE
http://tamarsdayoff.blogspot.com/p/bike-ride.html
What should you do when the day starts warm with blue skies and no wind, and there’s a brand new bicycle in the garage? You would think you should go for your very first bike ride in two years, when actually, you should just stay home and watch Judge Judy. Weird gears. I never ever got used to changing gears, but the pedalling is way too easy. So here I go, let’s try twisting this.what’s that clicking sound? After a hot shower and change of clothes, I settle down on the couch to watch some reruns of Judg...
